First stop Poets Cove at Bedwell Harbor on South Pender Island.
About 10 miles North West of Roche Harbor on San Juan Island
We are in the Canadian Gulf Islands now and cleared customs here.
We are setting at anchor just about a mile from this beautiful fairly new resort.
It looks like a ghost town. There are hardly any boats here. It could be a sign of the times or just early in the season.
Tomorrow we will go to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island for Booze and some new charts.
Keep in mind we had to leave all of our ship stores booze stock at home to clear customs.
Nanaimo is only 38 miles from here so we will be there easily by noon with plenty of time go to shore for supplies and have a nice dinner at or favorite hotel restaurant and bar.
We arrived at Dodd Narrows at slack current about 12:30 and it was a treat as always.
Then on to Nanaimo and we set the hook near New Castle Island rady for two daus of supplying SEa Jay.

ReplyDeletetake a deep breathe, it will be alright soon
Don't discount that services back home may be better and remember that Anacortes is only 4 days away on one engine and only 3 days to get back to Port Hardy to continue the trip fuel being the only downside since your not really on a time clock. The guess work is does a hometown repair mechanic know how to fix it right permanately the first time. although half the fun is being with the others you would be back soon.
so of course I have no idea whats really going on so these thoughts are only another perspective. good luck glen
